Flamengo contact former Manchester United striker Anthony Martial

Martial is yet to find a club after leaving the Red Devils.
Famous Brazilian club Flamengo have made contact with former Manchester striker Anthony Martial after their star player Pedro suffered an ACL injury. The Frenchman is considering various options and is yet to decide on his future. With transfer window closed Martial is yet to join a club after the completion of his contract with Man United.
The player remained at the club for nine years but injuries made his time at the club overwhelming. Last season he appeared in only 19 games due to injury.
Anthony Martial was signed with a lot of hype by United. He was seen as the next most talented French player in football. But things took a U-turn as he suffered frequent injuries and was barely available for the games.
Last season United decided to not extend his contract, which eventually allowed him to leave for free. The striker remains a free agent with many clubs interested in signing him.
Lille are reportedly interested in a move, while AEK Athens are also considering approaching the player. Now Brazilian club Flamengo have entered the race. They see him as a replacement for the injured Pedro.
But as of now, nothing is guaranteed. The former AS Monaco forward has yet to decide on his future and could take time for his next move.
At just 28 the player has still many playing years ahead of him. He can achieve a lot before his retirement. Martial‘s best time at United came under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer when he produced 23 goals in 2019-20. The striker netted 90 times in 317 games at United and also went on loan to Sevilla.
He can still ignite his career in whichever club he joins. He still boasts plenty of attributes to become a phenomenal striker.
Now it’s up to him to decide his next destination. He isn’t short on options and should join a club where he can get back to his best and make an impact.
