The France team will play friendly games against Brazil and Colombia in the United States this month under the leadership of Kylian Mbappe, who has just recently returned to action following a knee injury.After Mbappe made an appearance off the bench for his team in the Champions League victory over Manchester City yesterday, coach Didier Deschamps added the Real Madrid star to his roster for the fixtures on Thursday.
After missing his team’s last five games, the captain of France is expected to start for his nation on March 26 against Brazil in Foxborough, Massachusetts, and three days later against Colombia in the vicinity of Washington, DC.
Deschamps additionally included goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier in the group despite him losing his spot at Paris Saint-Germain. Meanwhile, other offensive players include Rayan Cherki of Manchester City and Hugo Ekitike of Liverpool.
France, Senegal, Norway, and a play-off winner whose identity will be revealed this month make up Group I of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
