France starting lineup vs Senegal confirmed for FIFA World Cup 2026 clash

This will be the second-ever clash between these nations.

The France national football team is now all set to begin their 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign. For their opening game on the world stage, they are going to take on the Senegal national football team at the New York-New Jersey Stadium.

Didier Deschamps’ men are not going to have the first game in the flagship tournament. They are coming in after putting in decent performances in their friendly games ahead of the mega competition. They faced a defeat against Ivory Coast, but came out on top to secure a win against Northern Ireland.

The France national football team have won the FIFA World Cup two times (1998 and 2018). Their performance in the previous edition was also phenomenal, where they finished as the runner-ups. They will now be looking to clinch the prestigious title for the third time. Les Bleus will have to be consistent throughout the tournament and being one of the favourites are only going to put them under slight pressure.
