Georgia vs Portugal Live score and updates | UEFA Euro 2024
11:00 PM: Hello everyone and welcome to Khel Now’s LIVE COVERAGE of the UEFA Euro 2024 Group F match between Georgia vs Portugal. The kick-off is just a few hours away! I am your host Aishwarya and will keep you company through what promises a fascinating night of football. Please wait for 30 seconds for the Live blog to load.
Georgia’s chances of making it to the Euro 2024 last 16 look impossible now, after collecting just one point from the opening two matches. With Turkey playing Czechia, a draw in that match coupled with a dominant win over Portugal will see them progress from Group F.
Despite showing impressive attacking displays in the two matches, their defence remains a major problem. They have conceded four goals in these games and have looked nervy at the back.
Portugal are through to the last 16 of the competition after making an excellent start to the tournament. They started the tournament with a 2-1 win over Czechia after Francisco Conceicao netted the winner in added time.
They followed it up with an impressive 3-0 win over Turkey in the last match which sealed their spot in the last 16. Cristiano Ronaldo-led team looks like a very balanced side and will probably be the team to look out for in the latter stages
Player to Watch
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (Georgia)
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has emerged as one of the best wingers in world football after enjoying a remarkable year with Napoli. His dribbling skills and ability to beat defenders in one-on-one situations make him a dangerous player.
Kvaratskhelia is yet to score in the Euro 2024 tournament so far despite being the main danger for the Georgia team. He will now have the final chance to lead his nation to a victory in this match.
Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal)
Cristiano Ronaldo is arguably one of the best players in the world after dominating world football for the last decade. He always steps up in the game to change the outcome of the match.
Ronaldo, despite not scoring, provided an assist for Bruno Fernandes to score a tap-in. The legendary forward holds the record for the all-time top scorer at the Euros. He will be aiming to win this Euro as this might be his last dance at a major tournament.
