DFB-Team will face Portugal in June.
The roster for the encounter against Portugal in the UEFA Nations League semi-finals, which will be played on June 4 at the Allianz Arena in Munich, was revealed by head coach Julian Nagelsmann.
For a variety of reasons, several well-known players are absent from the squad, including Kai Havertz, Antonio Rudiger, Jamal Musiala, Nico Schlotterbeck, and Klostermann.
Portugal earned their spot at the cost of Denmark with a 5-3 score, while Germany advanced to the semi-finals after defeating Italy 5-4 overall.
Niclas Fullkrug, Serge Gnabry, and Marc-Andre ter Stegen return after extended absences. After suffering a severe knee injury in September, Ter Stegen is back.
Additionally, Fullkrug returns for the first time since September. Gnabry last played for Germany in November. His poor play kept him out of the quarterfinal match against Italy in March.
Felix Nmecha, Waldemar Anton, and Florian Wirtz have also returned to the team. As Germany get ready to play Portugal in Munich on June 4, this selection provides the team depth and experience. On June 5, Spain and France will face off in the other semi-final.
Nagelsmann expressed confidence about facing Portugal: “If we reach our top level, then we can beat Portugal.”
The following is the German national team’s roster for the UEFA Nations League semi-final matchup versus Portugal:
