Julian Nagelsmann will coach Germany in his first World Cup.

Expectations are lower than they used to be, but Germany will be looking to get back to winning ways at the FIFA World Cup 2026.

However, since winning the competition in 2014, they have performed poorly in the last two World Cups, and hopefully, this time they will be eager to make amends next month.

When they start their campaign in Houston, Texas, on June 14, Julian Nagelsmann and his team will have a bit of a point to prove after two straight group-stage eliminations in Russia and Qatar, as well as a decline in their world ranking to 10th.

Their fall from one of the best nations in the competition has been unfortunate, but Nagelsmann will be keen to bring back the previous status of his nation in the World Cup.

The former Bayern Munich manager has now confirmed his official squad that will lead the national team to the World Cup next month, and there are many big names included in the roster, while many have not been able to make the cut.

The coach has access to a wealth of talent, and after the roster is finalised, it has appeared to be among the best in the competition on paper.

But if they are to prove the quality of their squad, then it will be on the field when Germany play their first game on 14th June against debut nation, Curacao.
