The Red Devils are exploring the market to find Andre Onana’s replacement.

Although Diego León, Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo have strengthened Manchester United’s roster, there are still many gaps to be filled before the 2025–26 campaign begins, with many fans particularly worried about the goalkeeper position.

Despite making over a hundred appearances, the inexperienced André Onana has been incredibly inconsistent in his two years at Old Trafford, and his deputy Altay Bayındır has typically performed poorly when called upon.

Manchester United will be closely monitoring their goalkeeping situation as we head towards the end of the summer window. It wouldn’t be shocking if the Red Devils added goalkeepers in an attempt to reclaim their position as a dominant force in the Premier League.

3. Lucas Chevalier

Lucas Chevalier of LOSC Lille is one of the best young goalkeepers in the world of football at the moment. The 23-year-old had the fourth-best save percentage (72.7%) in Ligue 1 last season, surpassing both Gerónimo Rulli of Marseille and Gianluigi Donnarumma of Paris Saint-Germain.

Only Rennes goalkeeper Brice Samba recorded more clean sheets than his 11 in that season. He has the potential to be one of the best stoppers in the game and has already shown that he can compete with the best.

2. Mads Hermansen

Mads Hermansen, 25, finished last season with his dignity intact despite his inability to stop Leicester City from being relegated to the second division.

The Denmark Under-21 international did a great deal to improve his reputation during his first Premier League season, despite injuries limiting his availability in the final stretch. Given Leicester’s dire financial circumstances, United might also be able to acquire Hermansen for a bargain.

1. Senne Lammens

It has been reported that the Belgian player is among the top keepers “sitting at the top” of Manchester United’s transfer wishlist.

According to reports, Ruben Amorim has approved, and United have already gotten in touch with the Belgian team to find out about the 23-year-old’s availability.

Most significantly, Lammens is open to a transfer to United. According to reports, the young goalie views the opportunity as a “dream” move.

Who is Senne Lammens?

Lammens plays for the Belgian team Royal Antwerp.

Which club does Mads Hermansen play for?

He plays for the former Premier League winners Leicester City.

Who is another goalkeeper Man Utd is linked with?

The Red Devils were also linked with Aston Villa’s Emiliano Martínez.
