GXR World becomes Ligue 1 streaming partner in Indian subcontinent

Ligue 1 now has a new broadcasting home in India.
Ligue 1 has also collaborated with GXR World to become their new broadcasting partner. A significant portion of professional teams’ revenue comes from TV rights, which make up between 50% and 75% of Ligue 1’s total revenue (transactions excluded).
Luc Arrondel, an associate professor and researcher at the Paris School of Economics as well as the research director at the National Centre for Scientific Research, notes that there might be a wide range of effects.
The TV rights for Ligue 1 did not live up to predictions from the 2023-24 season. Can we anticipate any performance consequences given that TV rights have accounted for half of teams’ spending on average over the past ten years?
The budgets of the individual teams in Ligue 1 will reflect the decrease in the league’s total budget. Additionally, there will be instant performance ramifications because players’ wages account for between two-thirds and 70% of budgets on average.
