Galaxy Racer (GXR) become LaLiga & Serie A streaming partner in Indian subcontinent

Top European leagues are looking to extend their broadcasting channel list worldwide.

Galaxy Racer (GXR), a Dubai-based company, has been named as LaLiga & Serie A’s Indian subcontinental streaming partner.

Spanish LaLiga signed a 15-year contract with GXR last year with the intention of growing its footprint in the MENA and Southeast Asian regions.

Paul Roy launched Galaxy Racer, an esports and gaming organisation, in 2019. It is situated in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Galaxy Racer compete in esports under the name Nigma Galaxy as of 2023. It also collaborated with a number of businesses and associations, including LaLiga.

LaLiga expect to make over €3 billion from the partnership with GXR. GXR are acting as LaLiga’s local partner in the MENA and the Indian subcontinent region during the course of the 15-year arrangement.

In order to finalise contract terms and form the joint venture, the two parties have executed a letter of intent and agreed to an exclusive period. LaLiga and GXR will each own a 50% share in the new company.

“An innovative pathway to share its intellectual property through a local partner already offering considerable market reach and a platform for growth that leverages expertise in six key verticals: licensing, content creation, esports, influencer and talent management, merchandising, and music,” the Spanish top-tier league said.

Not only LaLiga but Serie A will also benefit from the GXR partnership as it will also help the Italian league broadcasting to be shown in UAE.

There is no denying that every league wants to extend their broadcasting rights around the globe. They will hope to find more such companies to strike a deal with. This helps the league grow in other nations, allowing fans to be able to witness their games.
