LaLiga is one of the most followed football leagues in the world

The Spanish top-flight known as LaLiga remains one of the most followed football leagues in the world. Some of the biggest clubs in the world, the likes of FC Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid feature in the league.

The 2024-25 edition of the league kicked off on August 15 2024. Athletic Club played a 1-1 against Getafe in the opening match of LaLiga 2024-25 season at the San Mames Stadium in Bilbao.

The spotlight for the season will definitely be on Real Madris’s newly acquired No. 9 Kylian Mbappe. He is one of this generation’s most talented footballers.

During the 2024 summer transfer window, Kylian Mbappe left Paris Saint-Germain and joined Real Madrid on a free transfer. He is expected to help them defend their league title.

Almeria, Cadiz and Granada were demoted to the Segunda Division after the 2023-24 season, while Valladolid, Leganes and Espanyol were promoted to play in the top division.

This season there will be greater expectations on the Spanish league to produce another visually stunning display of football, particularly in light of the national team’s recent successes.

The Spanish men’s national team set a record by winning the European Championships four times in July. Additionally, the men’s team defeated the host nation, France, in the final to win gold at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris earlier this month.

With the arrival of Mbappe in the league more fans will be hopping on their TV to witness LaLiga games. The former AS Monaco player is certainly one of the biggest figures in football after Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Real Madrid are set to profit from his addition on and off the pitch.
