As Haiti makes its first World Cup return since 1974, manager Sebastian Migne has revealed his team for the competition this summer.
Haiti managed to qualify for the tournament in North America after a challenging qualifying campaign. This is despite being unable to play a home game due to ongoing gang violence and political unrest in the nation.
With his squad of 26 players, French manager Migne, who has never been allowed to travel to Haiti due to safety concerns, combines the “old guard” of the Haitian national team with a few more recent recruits.
Among the players who have played for Les Grenadiers for almost 10 years are goalkeeper Johny Placide, striker Duckens Nazon, and centre back Ricardo Ade.
This nation will be trying to leave their imprint and give their finest performance because they have nothing to lose in one of the largest competitions.
The national team will begin their World Cup campaign on June 14 against Scotland. They will play their next match against Brazil before concluding their group fixture against Morocco.
