Hansi Flick emerges as top candidate to replace Mauricio Pochettino at Chelsea

Pochettino time at the Blues has given mixed results
Mauricio Pochettino’s time at Chelsea may be running out. The team from Stamford Bridge has had difficulty making an impression for most of the 2023–24 season and will have a difficult time breaking into European teams.
In light of this, Hansi Flick, the former head coach of Bayern Munich, is currently regarded as a “strong candidate” to succeed his London counterpart. It might be prudent for football supporters to harbour some sympathy for the former Tottenham manager.
Not every issue facing the Blues this season can be traced back to the organization’s management since his arrival in the previous summer.
“Hansi Flick is now a strong candidate for the Chelsea job,” Christian Falk told CaughtOffside in his exclusive Fact Files column.

The BILD journalist went on to add: “Flick would love to manage in the Premier League and is looking at the big six. He was talking with Tottenham before he was coaching the national team. This would be a club on his level.
“Chelsea is very interesting as he talked with the club after Frank Lampard was sacked; there was a telephone call between him and former director Marina Granovskaia. At this point, he was the treble-winning coach for Bayern (from the 2019/20 season) and he said no when the talks took place, in 2021, at the time because he was at the club. But he was interested in Chelsea.
“Now that they’re searching for another manager, and they know he’s interested, I think this topic can get hot.”
One major aspect has been injuries, as seen by the extensive time Christopher Nkunku spent on the treatment table during the season despite being a huge summer signing.
Naturally, a second consecutive year’s result outside the top four and probably outside of the European spots could prove to be fatal for the Argentine’s managing dreams.
