Seleção das Quinas finished second in their group.

Despite fielding Cristiano Ronaldo, Bruno Fernandes, and Pedro Neto, A Seleção never completely got going in attack. They are surrendering their fragile aspirations of winning Group K to Colombia. In actuality, Portugal might have easily lost the match.

Roberto Martínez’s team earned a point and finished second in their group. However, the Portugal manager will have many questions to answer following a performance marked by offensive wastefulness, defensive breakdowns, and a lucky escape.

They couldn’t live up to expectations given the quality of their roster and were disappointed in their group fixtures.

The European nation began their voyage with a 1-1 draw against DR Congo before exploding against Uzbekistan, scoring five goals and defeating the World Cup newcomer.

Portugal needed a victory over Colombia to finish first in their group. However, another sluggish attacking performance limited them. The team finally settled for second place.

Yes, Seleção das Quinas have secured their place in the round of 32 after finishing the second-best side in Group K. However, their performance was below par, except in the game against Uzbekistan. Ronaldo’s side failed to show their quality on the pitch against Colombia and DR Congo.

Despite boasting some of the top players, the 2016 Euro winners endured a frustrating group K. They displayed sluggish performance against Colombia. However, they will hopefully make amends in the knockout round as they won’t be given a second chance.

Roberto Martinez’s team will now take on Croatia, the second team from Group L, in the Round of 32. The 2018 runner-up qualified on their last group match day, defeating Ghana 2-1.

Have they qualified for the round of 32?
