Explained: How can Liverpool win Premier League title today?

Arne Slot’s side are closing in on lifting the title.
Liverpool will have a chance to win the Premier League title today if they beat Leicester City and Arsenal lose to Ipswich Town.
Here, we examine the various ways and times they might be crowned Premier League winners in 2024–2025. The most important thing to remember is that the Reds can win the title today at the latest.
How can Liverpool win the title today?
To put it plainly, the current table toppers have to win six more of the 18 points available in their next six Premier League games in order to secure their second Premier League title and their 20th overall.
They would have 82 points, which would put them ahead of their closest opponents, Arsenal, who could only reach 81 points even if they win their next six games.
Arsenal must first lose today’s game against Ipswich Town, which will see the Reds win the title if they beat Leicester later today.
Arsenal would still be on 63 points and could only end on 78 points, with five games and 15 points remaining.
What if it doesn’t happen this weekend?
If the Gunners beat Ipswich today and Liverpool also overcome Leicester, then the Reds’ lifting title scenes will be pushed to next weekend.
Arsenal will face Crystal Palace on 23rd April. If they avoid a defeat, then it can once again deny the Reds from being confirmed champions. But even if the North Londoners draw Palace, and Liverpool beat Tottenham Hotspur next weekend, it will see Arne Slot’s side lift the title despite four matches remaining, with Arsenal 10 points behind.
Although the title race seemingly has gone away from the Gunners’ hands, they could try and push the Slot’s side until the very end of the season for them to lift the title. However, for that, they will have to avoid defeat in their remaining matches until the end of the campaign.
