How long will Kevin De Bruyne be out for Manchester City?

The Belgian could miss the Arsenal game on Sunday.
Kevin De Bruyne could miss Manchester City’s Sunday showdown against Arsenal. The midfielder seems to have suffered a groin injury in City’s 0-0 draw against Inter Milan in their opening UEFA Champions League game.
The former Wolfsburg player hurt himself when running in on goal. He was tackled by Inter goalkeeper Yann Sommer. De Bruyne still continued after getting some treatment. He was later taken off in the second half.
When asked about the Belgian’s extent of the injury and if he will be available for the Arsenal game, Pep Guardiola said: “I don’t know, I will have more info tomorrow [Thursday]. The doctor said to me he was not ready to play [in the second half].”
De Bruyne has been suffering injuries very often. The midfielder was out for the first half of the season last term. Now he could once again remain on the sidelines for a long time if the injury is severe.
City will play a big game on Sunday. They are top of the league with 12 points while behind them are Arsenal with 10 points. If De Bruyne misses the Arsenal game, it will be a big issue for Guardiola’s side.
The Belgium midfielder has played in every game this season. He has a goal and an assist to his name. An injury setback could force him to spend time recovering.
However, a big boost for Guardiola was when Rodri returned to action. He made his first start to the season and will hopefully be fit to face Arsenal on Sunday.
Another injury worry was Nathan Ake. When the Spanish manager was asked about their game against Arsenal had come at the wrong time, he said: “Maybe, but it is what is. I don’t control the schedule. if facing Arsenal this soon could catch them unprepared.”
Meanwhile, Guardiola’s contract with City runs out after the end of the current season. So far there has been no indication if the former Barcelona manager will extend his stay at City.
