How an agreement with Nike can help Barcelona financially?

The Catalan club have faced many economic problems in recent years.

According to multiple reports, Barcelona are now very close to reaching an agreement with Nike over an improved contract which will be a massive financial aid for the club.

It is understood that a deal is close, with only the signing of contracts pending which is expected to happen after the assembly of club delegates scheduled for Saturday, October 19.

The club’s current contract with Nike is set to expire in 2028 and the new agreement will see the club extend their deal with the brand and also boost their finances.

The Catalan club have suffered a lot financially which has seen them struggle to register players and make limited moves in the transfer windows.

But this Nike deal is a massive upgrade and will eradicate their financial woes going into the next transfer window where the club will be able to sign top players and register them on time.

How new deal with Nike could aid Barcelona financially?

In past years the club has enormously laboured to acquire and register players. The Catalan giants want to return to the 1:1 LaLiga rule.

They have managed to recover from huge economic crises and this reported €140 million per season deal with Nike could turn things around for them.

It will help the club register players right away without any issues.

It is reported that the new contract with the global sports brand will raise well over €100 million a year for Barcelona.

They will also be receiving a significant signing bonus upfront which will further allow the club to follow the LaLiga 1:1 Fair Play rule, helping them sign players and register them in the next transfer window.

Returning to the 1:1 Fair Play rule will be a massive boost for the club and just like other teams they will be able to spend a big amount of money and can make as many signings as possible without any financial problems.
