Christensen has been playing as a defensive midfielder in the second half of the ongoing season
Speaking before the El Clasico, Andreas Christensen has made it very apparent where he will be playing the next season. The Dane isn’t thinking about quitting the club and eliminates himself from the entity’s pool of potential sales.
This summer, FC Barcelona will be making some significant sales, and up until this point, Andreas Christensen’s name has been sounding more solid. In a sense, the Danish arrived for free, having made all of the money from his fictitious sale—a ‘present’ for the culés according to Fair Play standards.
But it appears that the Nordic will eventually refuse to be one of the players to give up on the City Condal of face and follow the new path.
The centre has made it quite apparent where he will play in the upcoming course; he made this statement in an interview prior to this Sunday’s Classical matchup against Real Madrid.
“I do not have any doubt that I will be here the next season. Still they remain me two years of agreement and am happy”,
Cade said that the club has been contemplating sticking with Andreas because of his strong pivoting performance in the final few hours. His role and his polyvalence when serving as a defender are highly valued by the entity, by what the current thinking is that it follows.

It is still to be seen if the Danish player spends most of his minutes in defence or as a midfielder. This will depend on whether Barcelona wins the desired defensive midfield player title, which they hope to strengthen.
The Danish international, who has been a regular since late January, has contributed significantly to the team’s La Liga victory both as a centre-back and as a versatile pivot midfielder.
As things stand, Barcelona have no intention of letting go of Christensen in the summer because they recognise his value.
Though Christensen was signed for free, any payment received would be recorded as full profit in the books, thus the position would alter if a significant offer came in.
