The Brazilian forward has scored two goals for Barcelona this season
FC Barcelona misfit According to Mundo Deportivo, which cited unnamed sources, Vitor Roque has become so depressed about his situation at the club that he has started crying.
The Brazilian was purchased for €30 million last year, and a further €31 million may have been paid by his previous team, Athletico Paranaense. Barca moved forward with the striker’s transfer to January 2024 when midfielder Gavi sustained an ACL injury that ended his season.
But even though Vitor Roque arrived with much hoopla during the winter transfer window, manager Xavi Hernandez has only given him 13 appearances and 310 minutes of playing time.
The two-goal teenage sensation, who has yet to earn his Champions League debut and did not come off the bench in a recent El Clasico matchup against Real Madrid, has only started two of these games.
According to recent sources, Vitor Roque may be made available for loan to teams who express interest, but the player and his group would prefer that he remain in his current location.

In a recent news conference, Xavi seemed to suggest that he would be open to a temporary assignment abroad.
Vitor Roque is said to be “very affected” by his current situation, while it is unclear what will happen to him.
Mundo Deportivo explains that while one of the youngster’s main virtues his is mental strength, “the situation he is experiencing at Barca is affecting him enormously and those closest to him admit that the footballer is not having a good time at all”.
“Loan this summer? No, it’s dangerous for a young player. In that case, it has to be a permanent move. The best option would be to stay at Barça and play. But if Barça don’t let him play, we will need to look for another club”, told RAC1.
His agent added, “It’s not logical to sign a Brazilian international, bring him here and start playing him from the first day, then another game and then no more.”
“Then he scores two goals and then disappeared. Xavi does NOT even talk to the boy.”
“Everyone saw that against PSG, Barça needed a goal and they could’ve benefited by having another 9”.
“In many games they needed fresh legs up to press… but if Xavi doesn’t see it that way, then patience. But we can NOT continue like this”.
“What’s more, although he has always stood out for his joy, he now seems sad and even at his home he is not able to disconnect from his situation in the team – even to the point of crying.”
