Ronaldo has seven goals in all competitions for his club this season.

The question that hangs in the mind of most supporters is – Will Cristiano Ronaldo play for his club ahead of international commitment with Portugal national football team mid-October? The Saudi Pro League fixture against Al-Orobah is the final thing on the schedule for Al-Nassr ahead of the October international break. Will he play or not? Well, let’s figure it out.

Ever since Cristiano Ronaldo joined the Saudi league, all eyes have been on him in the capital of Saudi Arabia. After parting ways with Manchester United, in his second stint at the English club, Ronaldo blew away the media and fans alike by deciding to work away from Europe. The Portuguese phenom joined hands with Al-Nassr.

Since the mercurial superstar joined the league, things have only changed for the good. World-class players are now calling it home (Saudi Pro League), and fans are also fixated on every update regarding the league more so. Is there anything better than watching a match of football with your favourite star playing? None, exactly.

Ronaldo, 39, still happens to be the global superstar that he is, capable of drawing attention from every corner of the world. His team Al-Nassr are all set to face Al-Orobah tonight. But will he feature?

Cristiano Ronaldo has so far featured in every league fixture, playing a full 90 minutes in each. Apart from the viral infection that led to him missing out on the trip to Iraq to face Al-Shorta, he hasn’t had any trouble at all this season across all competitions. Although Ronaldo will be partaking in upcoming UEFA Nations League games, he isn’t short of any match fitness to not feature.

The player that he is, more than likely, will start and play the full 90 minutes. In the five league outings, Ronaldo has scored four goals. However, the 2023-24 Golden Boot will not be too pleased with his standings in the goalscoring charts this season. The Knight of Najd captain is fourth on the list, with last season’s runner-up Aleksandar Mitrović holding the peak with seven goals. Former Real Madrid teammate Karim Benzema is also ahead of Ronaldo in the goal-scoring department as the Frenchman has the same number of goals as the Serbian forward.

It will be interesting to see how Cristiano Ronaldo fares against Al-Orobah, who are a mid-table side, after scoring in AFC Champions League Elite game against Al Rayyan.
