Al-Nassr will be back in action in the AFC Champions League.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr are back in action once again when they play the Iranian team Esteghlal FC in the AFC Champions League Elite at the Al-Rashid Stadium in Dubai.

Both sides have been drawn in group B with the Saudi Pro League side in fourth place while Esteghlal are in fifth place. A win for either of them will them climb up the table.

Al-Nassr are yet to pick a pace in the game as they have played only two matches, winning and drawing one, while Esteghlal have a defeat and a win in their last two AFC matches.

Ronaldo will be hoping to lead his side today after scoring a winning goal against Al Shabab in their 2-1 win in the league match.

Will Cristiano Ronaldo play tonight?

Ronaldo is certainly going to start after returning from international duty and the striker did not take long enough to get on the score sheet during the league match against Al Shabab. He has been in fine form for the national team and his club and will hope to continue this until the end of the season.

The 39-year-old has started the new season on a bang, scoring six goals in seven matches in the league and once in the AFC competition. The former Real Madrid star has been impactful for the Saudi side and his presence has added a cutting edge to Al-Nassr.

Ronaldo remains one of the best finishers despite being beyond his prime and his absence will be important for Al-Nassr. Hence, there is no doubt he will start tonight barring any injuries.

The former Manchester United is always fit and considering this will be an important game for Al-Nassr he will have to step up, knowing they are fourth in the table and five points behind leaders Al-Hilal.

A win could see them close the gap between themselves and their league rivals, who won 5-4 against Al Ain yesterday.
