The Real Madrid forward was not called-up for Les Bleus’ November matches.
Kylian Mbappe has no intention to play for France anymore after the forward was left out of the squad by manager Didier Deschamps for the November international break, reports suggest.
Mbappe form this season has seen him struggle to score goals for his new club Real Madrid. The forward has only eight goals across all competition and this has led to the player being left out of the Les Bleus squad.
It is also understood that after not being called for the national team roster his relationship with head coach Didier Deschamps has reportedly turned sour.
It was a surprising call from the 2018 FIFA World Cup winning manager to not call up and Deschamps gave his input for not picking up Mbappe, saying:
“I had several exchanges with him. I thought about it and made this decision about this gathering. I think it’s better like this. I’m not going to argue. What I can tell you, two things: Kylian wanted to come, and it is not the extra-sporting problems that come into play from the moment the presumption of innocence exists. It’s a one-off choice for this gathering with the two matches awaiting us.”
Kylian Mbappe’s relationship with Didier Deschamps ‘completely broken’
However, reports reveal that there is a different situation occurring behind the scenes as Mbappe’s relationship with the France manager has now deteriorated and the forward would not opt to play for the national team if there is no managerial change in the team.
Mbappe’s mother Fayza Lamari feels that her son has been regularly targeted by the French media and this led to tensions growing up she has described this as “us against the world.”
However, with the international break coming up Mbappe will have two weeks to train and get back to his best when the club football returns as his form has seen him strive to fit into Real Madrid.
He has also been under big scrutiny in Spain for failing to find his footing following his arrival in the recent transfer window.
