Salah has come under heavy criticism after his recent remarks.
Following his tirade against the team and manager Arne Slot, former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has attacked Mohamed Salah once more.
Salah said that by benching him for three games in a row, the team was using him as a scapegoat for their bad performance. He added that he no longer had a relationship with Slot.
Salah’s comments resulted in consequences. He is not included in Liverpool’s Champions League roster for the trip to Inter Milan.
Carragher calls out Mohamed Salah’s early failure

Carragher went on a rampage at Salah when discussing the Salah-Slot-Liverpool controversy on Monday Night Football.
He said (via Sky Sports), “One thing I want to remind Mohamed Salah and maybe his agent, before he came to Liverpool, Mo Salah was known as the guy who failed at Chelsea. That’s just a fact.”
“He’s also the greatest player the country has ever had. Egypt in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) are the most successful nation. But Salah has not won AFCON.”
“That’s not me trying to put him down as a player, but what it tells Mo Salah and his agent it’s not about an individual. You were not a star when you came into Liverpool.”
After being benched for Liverpool’s 3-3 draw with Leeds United, Mohamed Salah made several incendiary remarks, one of which was that Carragher was “going to criticise me again.”
Salah returned to the AXA Training Centre on Sunday and Monday to participate in practice, but Liverpool have decided not to select him for the Champions League game.
It is known that club officials, such as head coach Slot, believe that a brief absence from the team is best for both the player and the team.
