Jeremy de Leon: Profile, playing style, scouting report
Jeremy de Leon was called up to join Real Madrid squad for trip to Bayern Munich in UCL
Born on March 18, 2004, Jeremy de Leon is a professional football player from Puerto Rico who plays forward for Real Madrid Castilla in Spain. He is renowned for his quick reflexes, ball-handling skills, and strength in the upper body.
Club career and development
Jeremy de Leon played for the local team Hispania FA when he was younger. When he was nine years old, Sevilla invited him to trial. He received an invitation to travel to Spain in April 2014, when he was ten years old, to take part in a youth competition and trial with Málaga as well as a second training camp with Sevilla.
He was discovered by the Valencia-based International Development Academy while competing for GPS Puerto Rico in the Sheffield Cup in 2019. He and his family then relocated to Spain so he could join the team in the summer of 2020.
He joined CD Castellón’s youth team in the winter of 2021–2022. Following his stellar performance as the U19 league’s leading scorer with twenty-three goals in thirteen games, Barcelona, Almería, and Sevilla of La Liga expressed interest in the player in the spring of 2022.
He was soon connected to transfers to Real Betis, Atletico Madrid, and Real Madrid. Notwithstanding the attention, in May 2022 Jeremy de Leon agreed to a two-year deal, his first official agreement, with Castellón, which would keep him with the team until 2024.
In the same month, he appeared in his team debut against Villarreal B. Valencia began looking into the player’s loan alternatives after that month.

Jeremy de Leon’s playing style
Leon is a free-floating speedster who plays on the wings. He aims to create gaps and openings with his quick, off-the-ball movements. Regarding the dribbling and the last third, not much can be stated because this season the attacker has not scored any goals and has only provided one assist in his 11 appearances for the team in the third division of the Spanish League.
With players like Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo, Real Madrid possesses one of the most lethal wing attacks in the world. With the addition of Endrick, the team appears to have a settled front line for the next five to six years. De Leon’s purchase is perceived as an effort to develop De Leon and add him as an alternative player.
