Jordan vs Algeria: All-time head-to-head record before the FIFA World Cup 2026

Jordan and Algeria will meet in a crucial FIFA World Cup 2026 Group J fixture, with both sides searching for their first points of the tournament.

Jordan and Algeria are set to face each other in a high-stakes Group J encounter at the FIFA World Cup 2026. Both nations suffered defeats in their opening matches and will be eager to bounce back to keep their qualification hopes alive. Jordan was beaten 3-1 by Austria despite showing attacking promise through Mousa Al-Tamari and Ali Olwan, while Algeria endured a difficult evening against Argentina, falling to a 3-0 defeat.

With Argentina and Austria already holding an advantage in the group standings, neither side can afford another setback. The fixture, therefore, carries significant importance as Jordan and Algeria look to register their first points of the campaign. Although both countries have enjoyed success on the international stage within their respective confederations, meetings between them have been relatively rare.

The two nations have faced each other only three times, producing one win each and a draw.
