Jose Mourinho wants Cristiano Ronaldo at Fenerbahce

Both have worked together at Real Madrid.

Cristiano Ronaldo can be a crucial acquisition for Fenerbahçe, and Jose Mourinho is determined to get him. The Portuguese coach directly asked Ronaldo whether he would consider playing for the Turkish team, according to Turkish media. Mario Branco, the Portuguese sporting director of Fenerbahçe, has already started talks with Al Nassr.

Amid rumours that Ronaldo intends to leave Al Nassr, Mourinho personally contacted his countryman to see how interested he was. Ronaldo was given the chance to join Fenerbahçe by him. Fenerbahçe supporters have also started a social media campaign called “Come to Fenerbahçe.”

To assist in convincing the former Real Madrid forward, Mario Branco spoke directly with Ronaldo’s agent. The Ronaldo dream may not materialize, but the Turkish team’s supporters think the signing is still conceivable.

Ronaldo and Mourinho’s relationship may have improved with time, and both sides appear ready to put the unpleasant ending to their time together at Real Madrid behind them.

Under the former Chelsea manager, Ronaldo achieved unprecedented heights and won LaLiga. The only trophy the Mourinho failed to win with him was the Champions League, despite Los Blancos were one of the best sides in Europe under him.

At Al Nassr, Ronaldo presently makes $243 million a year. Fenerbahçe want to outdo the media craze that followed Galatasaray’s acquisition of Victor Osimhen.

Another objective for Mourinho’s Fenerbahçe is to compete with Galatasaray. The team are also looking into the possibility of acquiring Brazilian forward Anderson Talisca from Al Nassr, who makes $13 million net a year in Saudi Arabia.

For now, Ronaldo’s next Saudi Pro League matchup is against Al Qadisiyah. The newly promoted team coached by Míchel and led by former Real Madrid defender Nacho, will pose a fresh threat to the Portuguese player’s team.

Meanwhile, Mourinho’s team will return to action on Saturday when they play Kayserispor in a Super Lig match, while talks remain in the background.
