Jurgen Klopp addresses Real Madrid links following Xabi Alonso sacking

The German head coach answers his ambitions to become Madrid’s coach.
Following the club’s move to part company with Xabi Alonso, Jurgen Klopp has finally responded to the mounting rumours linking him to the Real Madrid position.
Given his elite background and track record at the highest level, the former Liverpool manager’s name has inevitably come up again as Madrid find itself at a crossroads once more.
Notably, Real Madrid have decided against hiring someone from outside for the time being. Rather, Alvaro Arbeloa was elevated to the position of head coach by the club from his position with RM Castilla.
Even though a move is presently unfeasible, rumours indicate that Jurgen Klopp is still highly regarded within Madrid’s hierarchy despite domestic solutions being given priority.
Jürgen Klopp speaks on Real Madrid links

Speaking on the German television network Servus TV, Jurgen Klopp was asked directly if his phone had started buzzing following Alonso’s dismissal from Real Madrid.
“This has absolutely nothing to do with me, and it didn’t trigger anything for me either, which would probably have been the follow-up question.”
There is already a lot of conjecture about Real’s next target. It should come as no surprise that Jurgen Klopp’s name has been included. After leaving the Premier League powerhouse Liverpool in 2024, he left management and is currently Red Bull’s Head of Global Soccer.
The 58-year-old hasn’t shown any signs of wanting to return to the dugout, especially in a position as comfortable as Madrid’s bench. When he learned of Alonso’s abrupt departure, he dismissed any connection to the Los Blancos.
Why is Jurgen Klopp not interested in Madrid’s job?
He says it doesn’t interest him.
Who is the next Madrid coach?
Álvaro Arbeloa is the new Madrid coach.
Where do Real Madrid stand in the table?
They are second in the LaLiga table.
