Salah could leave the Reds for free after the end of this season.

Mohamed Salah’s situation at Liverpool has alerted other European clubs. It could force the Reds to offer the player a new deal. Reports reveal that two major European teams expressed interest in signing the forward.

The 32-year-old has reportedly drawn interest from both Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). Saudi side Al-Ittihad are also considering making him an offer.

Meanwhile, other speculations say that Liverpool are open to providing Salah with a new contract but it is yet to be confirmed.

Along with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk, Salah is in the last year of his contract at Liverpool. This has raised questions about his future. The Egyptian player accepted a contract extension in 2022 despite having previously been offered a very lucrative transfer to the Saudi Pro League.

Throughout the summer transfer window, Liverpool’s sporting director Richard Hughes and manager Arne Slot downplayed worries in an effort to project a sense of calm. They are possibly letting Salah finish out his contract before letting him go for free in the summer of 2025.

Salah has scored three goals and provided three assists in his first three Premier League games of the season, which has thrilled Slot. When asked about Salah’s striking remarks made at Old Trafford, the Dutchman brushed them down.

“It’s a lot of ‘if’. At this moment he is one of ours and I am really happy with him being one of ours and he played really well,” Liverpool boss told Sky Sports. “I don’t talk about contracts from players but I can talk for hours about how Mo played today.”

During the international break, Van Dijk hinted that he would want to stay put. It surely gave Liverpool and their fans a boost. Nine months separate the centre-back from a free transfer out of Anfield. But following his game for the Netherlands, he remarked, “At both teams, I am still Virgil van Dijk, the big leader! And for the next two years, I definitely want to stay that way.”
