Kai Rooney, Manchester United wonderkid, has moved up three age groups at the youth level (U19), and is continuing to follow in his father Wayne’s footsteps.
Rooney Junior, who is only 15 years old, has been playing against players his own age. His most recent performances were at the Milk Cup, also known as the U16 Super Cup NI event.
After scoring in United’s first game and imitating Viktor Gyokeres’ well-known goal celebration, he guided United to reach the competition’s final. Parents Wayne and Coleen were among those present at the Coleraine Showgrounds.
Despite United’s heartbreaking loss to Southampton in the final, Rooney is getting ready for more tournament play. He announced on social media that he had been called up to the Red Devils’ U19 team for a match in Croatia.
