Karim Benzema gives savage reply about Saudi Pro League Golden Boot race with Cristiano Ronaldo

The French star’s side is edging closer to the title win.
As Al-Ittihad took a step closer to winning the Saudi Pro League, Karim Benzema responded brutally to a question about Cristiano Ronaldo’s Golden Boot chase.
On Sunday, Al Ittihad defeated Al Ettifaq by a narrow 3-2 margin, with Benzema scoring the goal. Al Ittihad have a significant lead over their nearest opponents, Al Hilal, who are six points below them with 62 points from 29 games played so far this season. Al Nassr are now in third place with 60 points.
The competition for the league’s top scorer is still very much open, even though Al-Ittihad are getting closer to winning a trophy. Meanwhile, Ronaldo is leading the Saudi league top scorer chart with 23 goals.
He is followed by Abderrazak Hamdallah of Al-Shabab is second with 20 goals, and Ivan Toney of Al Ahli is third with 19 goals. With 18 goals, Karim Benzema is in fourth place and not far behind.
However, Karim Benzema made it quite evident that personal records are secondary in the mixed zone following the Al Ettifaq victory. He merely stated the following when the topic of the top-scoring race came up:
“I don’t care about this my friend. The most important thing is the (SPL) trophy.”
On May 7, Karim Benzema’s Al Ittihad and Ronaldo’s Al Nassr might clash dramatically in the race for the title and top scorer. For both teams, Al Ittihad in their attempt to win the championship and Al Nassr in their attempt to remain in the running, the much-awaited matchup will be a vital test.
However, before the league game, Ronaldo will return to action much earlier, though, as Al-Nassr will play the Japanese team Yokohama F. Marinos in the AFC Champions League this Sunday.
The centre-forward was rested in their 3-2 win over Damac in yesterday’s league game and will be fresh to participate in the AFC Champions League Elite.
