Kylian Mbappe has led Real Madrid through the crisis despite the team’s poor start to the 2025–26 season. The Frenchman has now been deemed the team’s cornerstone, matching Cristiano Ronaldo’s record of 59 goals in a calendar year.

After doing this, the 27-year-old star made some unexpected remarks regarding his bond with the Portuguese and his crucial contribution to the team’s adjustment.

Kylian Mbappé has demonstrated that he is more than capable of scoring for Real Madrid. He has scored 73 goals and provided 10 assists in 83 games since joining the team.

Moreover, this year, the Frenchman has scored 59 goals in 58 games, cementing his place in the club’s illustrious past with his most recent penalty goal against Sevilla. He is ready to break more records for the team at just 27 years old.

However, scoring goals isn’t his only objective as the forward hopes to win more trophies and individual prizes with the club.

His main ambitions will be lifting the Champions League, which could ultimately decide his prospects of winning the Ballon d’Or.
