Kylian Mbappe vs Cristiano Ronaldo: Who reached 40 goal quicker for Real Madrid?

The Frenchman is already breaking records in his debut season.
With the equaliser in a dramatic 2-1 comeback victory over Mallorca in LaLiga, Kylian Mbappe, who scored 40 goals in his first season with Real Madrid, helped postpone Barcelona’s LaLiga title celebrations.
But in comparison to his hero, Cristiano Ronaldo, how quickly did he reach the 40 goal milestone?
Cristiano Ronaldo join Madrid, having previously won the Champions League and a Ballon d’Or with Sir Alex Ferguson’s team at that point in his career, and he quickly lived up to the anticipation by scoring goals at a rapid pace.
During his nine seasons in the Spanish capital, the Portuguese legend averaged more than one goal per game, won four Champions Leagues, and became the team’s all-time leading scorer.
Although Kylian Mbappe has not yet won the Champions League or the Ballon d’Or, he has won the World Cup and came dangerously near to winning a second after scoring a hat-trick in the 2022 final loss to Lionel Messi’s Argentina.
With 40 goals in his first 54 games in all competitions, Real Madrid’s newest Galactico has already made an immediate impression at the Bernabeu. He broke the previous mark for the most goals scored in a club debut campaign with his hat-trick in the team’s exciting 4-3 loss to Barcelona over the weekend.
However, Kylian Mbappe’s first season in Spain has been sadly devoid of trophies, just like Ronaldo’s before him.
Although Mbappe’s final product is undeniable, Carlo Ancelotti has had difficulty assembling a cohesive squad around the Frenchman. Since winning both the LaLiga and the Champions League the previous season, they seem to have regressed.
In October 2010, Ronaldo made his 46th appearance, scoring four goals in a 6-1 thumping of Racing Santander to quickly add 41st, 42nd, and 43rd goals to his total. Although Mbappe has since exceeded Ronaldo’s 33 goals in his debut season. But Ronaldo reached the mark of 40 goals in fewer games.
