Kylian Mbappé’s first Real Madrid 100 games: How he compares to Cristiano Ronaldo & other legends?

At perhaps his lowest point since joining the club, Kylian Mbappé has hit the 100-game milestone with Real Madrid.

Despite being the Los Blancos’ leading scorer this season, the striker hasn’t been able to contribute to any trophies. With five games remaining, Álvaro Arbeloa’s squad is behind LaLiga leaders Barcelona by 11 points and has been eliminated from both the Copa del Rey and the UEFA Champions League.

However, Kylian Mbappé has exceeded expectations in his primary job of scoring goals, and his performance is comparable to that of many of the club’s most well-known former players.

Kylian Mbappé has found the net in every competition he has participated in for Real Madrid, scoring 85 goals in 100 games. He has contributed to 95 goals in 100 games with 10 assists in these outings. He has contributed to 33% of the team’s goals since joining Madrid.

Kylian Mbappé has registered 55 goals in LaLiga, 22 in the Champions League, four in the Copa del Rey, three in the Supercopa de España, and one each in the UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, and FIFA Intercontinental Cup.

After playing in his first 100 games for Real Madrid, Mbappé’s stats indeed rank him among the team’s greatest scorers, surpassing those of Ronaldo Nazario, Hugo Sánchez, and Karim Benzema and almost matching those of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Kylian Mbappé’s stats are extremely high when compared to the first 100 games of the greatest goal scorers in Madrid’s history. Only Cristiano Ronaldo (95), Prudencio Sánchez and Pahiño (86), and Ferenc Puskás (100 goals) have exceeded him. However, Mbappé’s 85 goals outnumber those of previous club greats like Alfredo Di Stéfano (83) and Hugo Sánchez (71).

To put this in perspective, it took Karim Benzema 210 games to score his 100th goal while wearing a Real Madrid uniform. Mbappé is expected to reach his century before the end of the year, despite his current hamstring injury from Friday’s 1-1 draw against Real Betis, which leaves him doubtful for the Clásico on May 10.
