Yamal didn’t name Barca legend Iniesta and Xavi in his XI.
Legends Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo of Real Madrid and Barcelona have been included in Lamine Yamal’s all-time all-star starting lineup.
Over the past year, the Barcelona sensation has been the buzz of European football due to his explosive rise in Catalonia, where, at the age of 18, he has shattered multiple records.
He was crucial to Hansi Flick’s team’s LaLiga championship victory and was just as significant to Spain’s victory at Euro 2024 last summer.
Expectations are rising that the Spanish attacker will live up to the hype and succeed Messi at Camp Nou. Although he never had the opportunity to play alongside the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner, he still thinks highly of him.
When Yamal appeared on China Media Group’s “Total Soccer” show, he was asked to name his all-time favourite starting lineup.
He named both Ronaldo and Messi in his lineup. Surprisingly, Xavi, Andres Iniesta, and Sergio Busquets WERE not included on the roster. But the longtime rivals are not the only El Clásico heroes.
However, his all-time XI appears unbalanced as the players in the all-time XI majorly boast attacking legends, and he didn’t name any defensive midfielder in the lineup.
While the midfield features Neymar, Messi and Zidane, who are known for their attacking threat. Yamal’s all-time XI mostly includes several legendary stars; meanwhile, some are still playing.
