Premier League have most players called up for Copa America.

The 2024 Copa America is underway, and it has already served worldwide football fans with amazing matchups, comeback wins, late drama, stunning goals, and unbelievable saves, all in a matter of just a few games. These sensational aspects of the game are brought to life by the sensational players representing their nations with their hearts filled with patriotism and chests out with pride.

Before participating in such a massive international tournament, these world-class footballers play for their respective clubs that are part of a domestic league across diverse regions of the world. Each player brings a different dynamic to their national team, depending on the style of play employed by their club and the overall quality of the league.

With that said, here are the top five leagues with the most players called up for the Copa America 2024:

La Liga (Spain) – 28

One of the top-ranked leagues in the world, whose clubs are rich in European heritage, is La Liga in Spain, from which a total of 28 players have been selected for the 2024 Copa America.

This summer’s Copa America is blessed with world-class players from La Liga such as Federico Valverde, Vinicius Jr., Rodrygo, Ronaldo Araujo, and Raphinha, to name a few.

Liga MX (Mexico) – 35

The Liga MX of Mexico saw 35 players selected for their national teams taking part in the 2024 Copa America. Players such as Club America forward Alexis Vega will be representing Mexico this summer after recording a good season of 7 goals and 5 assists for his club.

Serie A (Brazil) – 35

35 players have been called up from the Brazilian Serie A clubs for the Copa America 2024. One of the standout names is the departing Palmeiras forward Endrick, who has been selected to represent the Brazilian national team in such a massive tournament. The 17-year-old sensation has already bagged three goals in his six caps for the national side.

MLS (USA/Canada) – 41

Major League Soccer (MLS) contributed a massive 41 players to this summer’s Copa America in the United States. The star name representing this league at the tournament is none other than Inter Miami forward Lionel Messi, who will be leading the Argentina squad in their bid to claim consecutive Copa America titles.

Just like the Liga MX, the players selected from the MLS clubs primarily play a rotational squad role as fringe players for the top-ranked national teams and serve as starters for lower-ranked nations participating in the tournament.

Premier League (England) – 41

The Premier League is the most watched European domestic league in the world, with all 20 teams competing at the highest level with their star-studded squads of players.

In the 2024 Copa America, a staggering 41 players have been called up for the tournament from Premier League clubs. West Ham midfield duo Lucas Paqueta and Edson Alvarez have been called up for the Brazilian National Team and Mexican National Team, respectively, after their amazing club campaigns.

Other great players such as Douglas Luiz, Alisson Becker, Alexis Mac Allister, Julian Alvarez, Gabriel Magalhaes, and Cristian Romero, to name a few, have all been called up to represent their respective nations at the tournament this summer.
