Top five leagues with most players called up for Euro 2024
The English first tier has sent the highest number of players for the Euro 2024.
Top talent in Europe finds a home in the Premier League. There has never been any dispute about that. The lineups of the 24 competing nations at EURO 2024 amply demonstrate this.
The greatest football players in Europe will take the pitch in Germany this summer for Euro 2024, which begins well tomorrow. The European Championship will feature some of the biggest names in the game, but which European league will be the best represented?
The league’s having the most players in the squads for Euro 2024 have been examined below.
5. Ligue 1- 29 players
Over two dozen players with Ligue 1 ties will compete in Euro 2024. The hosts, Germany, are seen by some as dark horses to contend with the likes of England and France in the competition after some impressive previous results. However, none of the current Uber Eats Ligue 1 players are included in them. However, the French league will be represented by a good number of players in other teams.
4. LaLiga – 56 players
LaLiga has 56 players who will play in Germany. Numerous athletes who compete in Spain are preparing for the 2024 European Championship, which is scheduled to take place in Germany from June 14 to July 14.
The much-awaited competition will begin on Friday with the match between hosts Germany and Scotland. Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos, who announced his retirement from the national team three years ago following Germany’s elimination from Euro 2020, will play in the match. Other stars include Artem Dovbyk, Jude Bellingham, Lamine Yamal, Fermin Lopez, Giorgi Mamardashvili and many more.

3. Bundesliga – 75 players
The Bundesliga are third in the table with the most players sent. The 2023–24 season was a bit different and successful for German football. After ten years of monopoly in the league, Bayer Leverkusen eventually overthrew Bayern Munich, making them the most impressive team on the continent. Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund’s Champions League final run, despite finishing fifth in the Bundesliga, demonstrated the depth of the league.
2. Serie A – 91 players
A number of international players who are anticipated to be major players in Germany this summer are from this particular league. The second-most players sent are from Serie A.
A few of the international Serie A players who are anticipated to excel at this summer tournament are Rafael Leao and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. Naturally, there are many Serie A players in Italy’s national team; in fact, some important Azzurri players, like Gigio Donnarumma and Jorginho, are now playing elsewhere.
1. Premier League – 96 players
There are 96 Premier League players participating in UEFA Euro 2024 this summer, 44 of them representing the five teams most likely to win the competition: England, France, Germany, Spain and Portugal. In fact, only three of the 24 participating countries—Austria, Georgia and Slovenia—do not have a Premier League player, so there’s a good chance an English top-flight player will raise the trophy in Berlin on July 14.
