Lee Carsley announces England squad for upcoming UEFA Nations League games; Marcus Rashford & Kyle Walker left out

The Three Lions will face Finland and Ireland in September.
Interim manager Lee Carsley has announced England’s squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League games. They are set to face Ireland and Finland in September in the competition.
There are many notable inclusions in the team this time. Noni Madueke, Rico Lewis and Morgan Gibbs-White have found a place in the team. Meanwhile, Marcus Rashford continues to remain omitted from the squad.
Carsley who succeeded Gareth Southgate will be the temporary manager until the FA find the ideal replacement for Southgate.
Southgate announced his exit from the national team following another agonising loss in the Euro final, this time to Spain. He suffered two back-to-back Euro-final defeats and led the Three Lions to the semi-final of the 2018 World Cup & the quarterfinals of the 2022 World Cup.
Despite taking England deep into the competitions, Southgate has always come short in his quest for silverware. After the final of Euro 2024, he felt it was the right decision to take a step back from the Three Lions’ job.
Now it can’t called a new era but sort of a ‘short era’ for Carsley. He has managed England U-21 previously. The 50-year-old led them to the Under-21 European Championship to lift the title for the first time in 39 years last year. He will hope to stamp his own authority as an interim manager of the England first team.
He has called many new faces. We take a look below at the complete England squad for the UEFA Nations League September games.
