The scene begins with Peter Parker (Tom Holland) sitting in a coffee shop, where he answers his phone, but then Messi unexpectedly enters with the “Spidey-Tracker.”
After Parker changes into his Spider-Man suit, the Argentine forward joins the superhero on a web-swinging journey across the city as part of the promotional campaign for the upcoming Marvel film.
The collaboration marks a crossover between one of football’s biggest stars and one of Marvel’s most recognisable characters ahead of the release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
The upcoming film will be Tom Holland’s fourth solo outing as Spider-Man and his seventh appearance as the character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The project is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and also stars Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Sadie Sink and Mark Ruffalo.The movie follows the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, with Peter Parker continuing life as a full-time Spider-Man in a world that no longer remembers his identity.
