Lionel Messi made a fan’s day by promising to send him a signed shirt. He did this by sending the fan a message on Instagram. It was another act of a down-to-earth gesture by one of the greatest players of all time.

However, it’s common for players to often sign a fan’s shirt, but what Messi did shows his humility, even after being one of the best and busiest players in the sport.

Given his popularity on the app, the player often receives millions of messages on social media. But Messi personally sent a message to one of his fans. This shows the World Cup winner knows how to win the hearts of his supporters.

The former FC Barcelona player messaged this to one of his fans:

“Hi brother, I saw your post about the giveaway of the national team jersey. I really liked what you wrote, so I want to send you one signed by me as a gift. Send me your details and the address of the barbershop so I can send it to you.”

Lionel Messi certainly acknowledged the good work the fan was doing and decided to reward him with a signed shirt of Argentina jersey. It shows how much the former Paris Saint-Germain player values his fans and their support for him.

Lionel Messi was quick to respond to the boy’s gesture. The kid was sent a signed jersey by the player. Later, he was invited by the organisers of the 2022 Qatar FIFA World Cup to meet Messi during a friendly match between Barcelona and Saudi club Al-Ahli.
