Lionel Messi's sister involved in brutal car accident

Messi’s sister has been admitted to the hospital.

After being involved in a catastrophic traffic accident, Lionel Messi’s sister reportedly had to postpone her wedding to a member of Inter Miami’s coaching staff next month. According to reports, Maria Sol Messi suffered burns and spinal fractures in the collision.

According to Argentinian TV journalist and broadcaster Angel de Brito, the football player’s mother informed him that although the 32-year-old was “out of danger,” she now requires a lengthy time of recovery. She lost control and struck a wall, causing her car to crash in Miami.

Lionel Messi’s sister met with a brutal accident

Speaking on the American television program LAM, Angel played notes on his cell phone and said:

“Messi’s sister is okay, she’s out of danger but I was checking things with the family because she was due to get married in Rosario in Argentina on January 3 and she’s going to have to suspend it.“

“She suffered burns and burns are very difficult to treat as well as displacement of vertebrae. She’s already started her rehabilitation in Rosario.“

“I asked her mum Celia Cuccittini because I’d received some information and she told me it’s true but that Maria Sol is okay. She has two fractured vetebrae, a fractured heel and wrist. The wedding is going to be put back. Celia told me she fainted and hit a wall.”

Angel first stated after speaking with the family that he believed the burns she had were from falling from a motorcycle. However, this has not been verified, despite reports in Argentina that she was operating a pick-up truck. On January 3, Maria Sol was scheduled to wed Julian “Tuli” Arellano, a coach of Inter Miami’s under-19 squad, in her hometown of Rosario.

The entire Lionel Messi family, including the former FC Barcelona star and Inter Miami player, was scheduled to attend. Because they both grew up in the same neighbourhood, Maria Sol and her boyfriend met when they were young, just as Lionel and his wife did.
