Lionel Messi's Inter Miami confirm South America pre-season tour in 2026

The Herons will travel to South America for their preseason tour.
The Major League Soccer (MLS) Inter Miami have revealed their itinerary for the first three 2026 preseason games in South America.
The Herons, who won their first-ever MLS cup last will begin their next season’s preparation from January and are expected to face some top sides from South American clubs.
For the second consecutive preseason, Miami will begin their trip by travelling to Peru, where they will play Alianza Lima.
With 25 First Division titles and an international competition cup in their trophy cabinet, Alianza is the second strongest team in Peru.
Their second game of the pre-season will be followed by another big side as they will get ready to face a Colombian team.
The most decorated football team in Colombia, Atlético Nacional, which has won 18 First Division titles, two Copa Libertadores titles, two Copa Merconorte titles, two Copa Interamericana titles, seven Copa Colombia titles, four Superliga titles, and a Recopa Sudamericana title, will be their subsequent opponent in Medellin.
In their final tour, the MLS Cup champion will play their first-ever game against an Ecuadorian team, Barcelona de Guayaquil. With 16 titles, Barcelona are the most successful team in Ecuador’s premier division.
