Bradley, Frimpong, Wirtz & more - Liverpool injury news ahead of Sunderland Premier League clash

The Reds are set to welcome two fullbacks.
Arne Slot has given Conor Bradley’s injury recovery update, while Jeremie Frimpong is also getting closer to making a comeback.
For the past three games, Liverpool have been forced to rely on Joe Gomez, Curtis Jones, and Dominik Szoboszlai to cover in place of a specialist right-back.
While Frimpong was forced to miss eight games due to a hamstring strain versus Eintracht Frankfurt, Bradley has missed the last three due to a muscle injury sustained while returning from November international duty.
Since then, Bradley’s situation has improved. Adding depth back into the team is crucial, considering they have four more games in 11 days.
Arne Slot updates on Bradley and Frimpong’s injuries

After returning to training, Slot is optimistic that his No. 12 will be an option against Leeds United on Saturday, as the Sunderland game is too soon for the fullback. He provided this update:
“Conor got into a team training session yesterday (Monday) for the first time.”
“Hopefully Conor Bradley is available for Leeds. We expect Jeremie Frimpong to be back in training next week. Unfortunately we play a lot of games, so he’ll miss a few”.
While Joe Gomez, Florian Wirtz, and Alexander Isak cannot play three consecutive 90-minute games, they may all play a few minutes, according to Slot. The coach, however, did not mention any new injury concerns following the victory over the weekend.
The significance of Liverpool having Bradley and Frimpong back shouldn’t be underestimated, given that they have had to modify the midfield to accommodate their injuries.
Additionally, it was anticipated that Frimpong would assist in covering the right wing for Mohamed Salah, who is scheduled to report for his national team for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) on December 15.
Bradley and Frimpong’s recovery will give Slot the benefit of choice as Liverpool need depth. He still has a few games to play without both.
Talking about rotating the team for the game
Arne Slot: “Yesterday, we had recovery, then we’ll train today, so let’s see how players feel. Florian (Wirtz) missed out one-and-a-half to two weeks of training. For him to play so many minutes was already a good thing…
“Alex (Isak) couldn’t play 5-10 more minutes, as he already felt a bit of cramp. He’s another player who we have to see how he does.”
