Liverpool injury news for Bournemouth clash in Premier League 2024-25 GW 5; Alisson Becker & Harvey Elliott update

The Reds are fourth in the Premier League table.
Liverpool hope to continue their strong play after defeating AC Milan 3-1 in their Champions League opener when they host Bournemouth at Anfield on Saturday.
The Reds’ triumph at San Siro was a far cry from their home loss to Nottingham Forest last Saturday, where they were defeated 1-0. Forest won for the first time since 1969 at Liverpool’s home.
Last Saturday, Bournemouth also lost 1-0 at home to Chelsea, who took all three points thanks to a goal from substitute Christopher Nkunku four minutes from time.
The Cherries’ 3-2 victory over struggling Everton came after draws with Forest and Newcastle United, making that loss against the Blues their first of the season.
Liverpool injury news for Bournemouth clash.
Manager Arne Slot stated on Friday that Alisson Becker is questionable for Liverpool’s match against Bournemouth due to an injury.
In addition to starting all four of Liverpool’s Premier League games this season and recording three clean sheets, the Brazil international was also involved in Tuesday’s 3-1 Champions League victory over AC Milan for the Merseyside club.
Darwin Núñez, who has failed to start or score for the team this season, is one player who has struggled for playing time at Liverpool. Slot, though, expressed optimism for the Uruguayan international after seeing him play well off the bench against Milan.
Harvey Elliott was ruled out of the international break matches against Austria U21 and Northern Ireland U21 due to the pain he had during the prior training sessions.
The 21-year-old is anticipated to miss some on-field time due to a foot fracture. It has subsequently been disclosed he will not return until the next month.
Curtis Jones, who was on the bench, did not play in Liverpool’s victory against Milan. Arne Slot might be being cautious. Jones could need more time to heal from his muscle injury.
Federico Chiesa made his debut against AC Milan, and while his playing time may be restricted once more, supporters will be expecting to see a little bit more of what he can do at Anfield on Saturday.
