Liverpool Squad numbers 2025-26: Florian Wirtz to wear No. 7; Hugo Ekitike to don No. 22

The Reds’ new signing have been handed new shirt numbers.

Liverpool squad numbers for the upcoming 2025-26 season have now been confirmed. The club’s new signings were wearing temporary numbers in pre-season so far, but have now been given new numbers.

Conor Bradley and Trey Nyoni have also chosen to switch shirt numbers, while the seven new players who joined Liverpool this summer have chosen their numbers.

Due to Luis Diaz’s departure to Bayern Munich on Wednesday, Florian Wirtz has taken the No. 7 shirt.

Liverpool’s new number six is Milos Kerkez, while Jeremie Frimpong has selected No. 30, which was his number at Bayer Leverkusen. The No. 22 jersey will be worn by Hugo Ekitike.

For the goalkeeping division, Giorgi Mamardashvili has been handed No. 25, Freddie Woodman No. 28, and Armin Pecsi No. 4. Nyoni moved from No. 98 to No. 42, and Bradley moved from No. 84 to No. 12.

In the preseason, the new recruits have so far worn temporary numbers; however, they will don their new numbers on the new home uniform for Monday’s doubleheader friendly against Athletic Club at Anfield.

Prior to the formal release of the new Adidas Liverpool home and away uniforms, the numbers were made public.
