Liverpool vs Crystal Palace Preview, prediction, lineups, betting tips & odds | EFL Cup 2025-26

The previous two confrontations between these sides ended in favour of the Eagles.

Liverpool are all set to battle it out against Crystal Palace in their fourth-round contest of the 2025-26 EFL Cup. This is going to be an intense fixture, which is scheduled to take place at Anfield.

The Reds are facing some serious issues at the moment. They are coming in after facing a defeat at the hands of Brentford in their English Premier League contest. Liverpool are lacking consistency and despite being at home for their upcoming fixture, they will be under pressure.

The Eagles are also in poor form at the moment. They fell prey to Arsenal in their previous league contest after an underwhelming effort. Crystal Palace need to work on their attack and the upcoming Carabao Cup match is not going to be an easy contest. Even though they have recently outplayed Liverpool twice, it is going to be a tough affair for them.

Hugo Ekitike will be looking to step up his game so that he can create issues in the final third for the opponent’s defence. The young Frenchman is a capable player and will be looking to get back to his form. Even though he failed to score a goal for Liverpool in their last match, Ekitike is going to be one of their main assets.

Jean-Philippe Mateta (Crystal Palace)

The 28-year-old forward has been one of the main men in the attacking front for Crystal Palace. Although he has not scored a single goal in the last two matches, Jean-Philippe Mateta is going to create issues for the opponents. He has not been able to find the net in the Carabao Cup this season, Mateta will be keen on scoring a goal.
