The 28-year-old remains a vital part of Al-Hilal’s midfield. He played a crucial role in helping them win the league and cup double. Neves’ existing contract expires at the end of the season, and he has turned down the offer of a new one.

Neves wants to play in the Premier League again, according to The Times. Al-Hilal are now considering selling the Portugal international during the January transfer window since it’s their final chance to get a fee before he departs as a free agent.

According to the article, an initial £18 million price tag has been proposed. But given his desire to depart, Al-Hilal might be compelled to accept a lower sum.

Due to a shortage of playing time, Kobbie Mainoo may leave Old Trafford on loan, and United are looking for a new defensive midfielder. Ruben Neves could be an ideal option for them.

Casemiro’s contract concludes in the summer of next year, but United have the option to activate a 12-month extension clause.
