[WATCH] Man Utd goalkeeper Tom Heaton praises Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant's shooting skills

Team India and the Red Devils’ players gathered for an Adidas event.

During Team India’s visit to the legendary football team, Indian star Rishabh Pant was spotted heaping praises form Manchester United goalkeeper Tom Heaton for his shooting skills.

This was a fun example of the crossover between cricket and football. The enjoyable conversation happened before the crucial 4th Test match between England and India, which starts at Old Trafford on July 23.

During India’s tour to England, a number of Indian cricket players, including Mohammed Siraj, Shubman Gill, and Pant, paid a visit to Manchester United‘s training ground as part of a special event.

Although the majority of the exchanges were enjoyable football drills and lighthearted banter, Pant’s spontaneous coaching session with Tom Heaton was particularly noteworthy.

While Pant displayed traditional wicketkeeping footwork, catching drills, and glove work, the two players, each of whom was a specialist in their own duty behind the goal or stumps, exchanged chuckles and tactics.

Heaton, who was obviously delighted and interested by the parallels between goalkeeping and wicketkeeping, attempted to imitate Pant’s motions.

Fans of both sports swiftly shared the touching moment that was caught on camera. It acted as a reminder of the admiration and interest that athletes, even those in quite different sports, feel for one another.

The players used light football drills to improve reflexes, coordination, and team cohesion during the unconventional training session, which was held at the Manchester practice facility. Pant was noticed for his agility, ball-handling abilities and for his fearless attitude with bat, ball and gloves.
