The Cityzens look very strong heading into the final
Despite several worries related to injuries to Manchester United, Manchester City seemed to have escaped from their preseason friendly largely unscathed.
Despite a number of problems along the way, Pep Guardiola stated that his top goal after four games in the US over the previous three weeks was to return to Manchester injury-free.
Josh Wilson-Esbrand hurt his hamstring against Chelsea, Rico Lewis was also pulled up, Erling Haaland had niggles against Barcelona, and Ederson skipped the game since he hadn’t trained after returning from vacations.
Due to extended leave allowed due to other players for international commitments this summer, several first-team players for City are already anticipated to be absent for the Community Shield. Guardiola was pleased to see a few things on Tuesday when the team practised as a whole for the first time in the preseason.

It appears likely that Ederson, Lewis, and Haaland will be available to play against United on Saturday after they all participated in training. Wilson-Esbrand was nowhere to be seen, despite the fact that City brought back more defensive alternatives this week: Manu Akanji, Ruben Dias, and Nathan Ake are all back from vacation and ready for the upcoming season.
However, Rodir is yet to return from the vacation after leading Spain to a 2-1 win against England. His absence will be a big issue for the Spanish manager who is likely to try different players in the middle of the pitch.
Guardiola has cautioned that considering their summer, City might not get off to a fast start. They had more players than any other country at the European Championship, therefore Guardiola is likely to use a young set of players in the match.
