The Cityzens ironically went trophyless during the 2024-25 campaign.

Manchester City will be looking to come back in action following their short break after the FIFA Club World Cup 2025. The Cityzens last season came up with some underwhelming performances. As a result, they failed to clinch any silverware.

The Pep Guardiola-led side are going to start training soon. This time around, they will be looking to work on their mistakes from the 2024-25 campaign. They won four English Premier League titles from 2020-2024, but they did not look sharp during their recent English football campaign.

Manchester City finished third in the Premier League only after some top performances towards the end of the season. However, they were unable to defend the league title.

Their run in the FA Cup was good, but it was only in the final that they perished against Crystal Palace. The Cityzens performed poorly when they were just a step away from winning the oldest club cup competition.

Another setback for them in the season came when they were knocked out by Tottenham Hotspur in the Carabao Cup. Pep Guardiola’s men were only able to reach the round of 16.

Man City continued their poor run in the UEFA Champions League. There, they fell prey to the Spanish giants Real Madrid, getting knocked out of the competition.

Even though they had a strong start at the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, the Pep Guardiola-led side were eliminated from the mega competition after an intense encounter against Saudi Pro League giants Al Hilal.

Their 2024-25 season went trophyless. Now, looking ahead, they did make some additions to the squad. The club added Tijjani Reijnders, Rayan Cherki and others to strengthen their lineup.

With the help of their recent signings, they will be looking to develop some strong tactics. Man City will make full use of their friendly fixtures ahead of the start of the Premier League 2025-26 season.
