The Hammers have pulled out of the race to sign Bayern Munich right-back.

West Ham United have now left talks with Bayern Munich to sign Noussair Mazraoui despite both clubs reaching an agreement. There was no pact between the agent sides, which saw the deal fall through.

This hands a big advantage to Manchester United who are keen on signing the right-back. Now the Old Trafford outfit could push for his signing.

The 26-year-old Mazraoui is open to a move to United, but they face a big issue in order to sign the Moroccan. United might have to sell Aaron Wan-Bissaka to stay within the Premier League Profit and Sustainability Rule in order to bring in another right-back.

The Red Devils are open to selling the 26-year-old but are yet to find an ideal club. However, recent reports confirmed that Wan-Bissaka is open to joining Inter Milan, and both clubs could work on a transfer to strike a deal.

But it is understood that Inter wants to sign the right-back for free and will wait for his deal to expire at United next season. This could put United at a huge loss given they spent £50 million on Wan-Bissaka’s signing in 2019. Letting him leave for free will only make things worse for Manchester United financially.

United are now in a big conundrum. They will have to decide the future of the right-back as they push for the signing of the Moroccan full-back.

Mazraoui has played under Erik ten Hag during his days at Ajax. If he joins United, then adapting to the Dutchman’s style won’t be an issue for him. United could now open talks with the German club to sign the right-back.

Currently, United have Diogo Dalot and Wan-Bissaka in the right-back position. While Dalot has been seen as a better option ahead of the latter, who is excellent going forward, Wan-Bissaka is more accomplished defensively.

But United would want a right-back who is excellent in both departments. Another right-back United are keen on signing is Denzel Dumfries, who fits the role of both defensive and attacking football. His pace and athleticism make him an ideal right-back for the English side.

United have now two right-back options to sign in Mazraoui and Dumfries. It will be interesting to see how things pan out for them.
