Manchester United's all transfers completed so far in 2024-25

The Red Devils have been proactive in the summer transfer window.
Premier League giants Manchester United have already commenced their pre-season tour in the United States this summer in order to prepare for the upcoming 2024–25 season.
With Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s INEOS group taking over the running of the club’s football operations, with the revamped sporting structure at the helm of affairs, United have been proactive on the transfer market so far. The Red Devils have already completed two promising signings: Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna and Leny Yoro from LOSC Lille.
Talented Dutch forward Joshua Zirkzee became the first Manchester United signing of the summer. In the 2023-24 season, Zirkzee enjoyed a stellar campaign with Bologna, making 37 appearances across all competitions while recording an impressive 12 goals and seven assists in the process. His incredible performances secured Champions League football for the Italian club for the upcoming season.
Owing to his unbelievable club campaign, the 23-year-old forward received his first national team call-up for the Netherlands during Euro 2024. Joshua Zirkzee will undoubtedly add a dynamic edge to United’s attacking arsenal.
Touted as a generational talent in his home country of France, Leny Yoro became Manchester United’s latest signing in the transfer window in order to bolster the club’s defensive options. Last season, Yoro enjoyed a breakout campaign at Lille, making 44 appearances across all competitions and guiding the Mastiffs to an impressive fourth-place finish in Ligue 1. With his defensive prowess and astute footballing brain, Leny Yoro will bring much-needed calmness to a shacky United backline.
On the other hand, there have also been several noticeable outgoings from the club this summer.
The first big-money departure for the Red Devils came in the form of Mason Greenwood, who secured a permanent move to French side Olympique Marseille, bringing an end to his controversial stint at the English club.
In a decision that surprised many United fans, talented defender Willy Kambwala was also sold on a permanent deal to LaLiga outfit Villarreal after an impressive first-team debut campaign last season.
In terms of free agent exits, Anthony Martial, Shola Shoretire, Omari Forson (Monza), Brandon Williams, and the experienced Raphael Varane (Como) have all left the club on the expiration of their respective contracts.
In addition, Donny van de Beek has completed a permanent switch to Girona, whereas talented fullback Álvaro Carreras has secured a move to Benfica, generating additional revenue in the process.
After a mixed-bag loan spell last season, the United hierarchy decided against triggering Sofyan Amrabat’s buy option clause. Hence the Moroccan midfielder returned to his parent club, Fiorentina, at the end of the deal.
With further incomings and outgoings expected in the remaining summer transfer window, Manchester United are in the middle of a massive club rebuild in order to return to the pinnacle of world football once again.
